Butchers-Eurobowl 2007

Butchers started EFL against Eidsvoll 1814's, Game was played in Eidsvoll stadium Norway. Eidsvoll won division first game against Triangle Razorbacks (Danmark). This meaned that Butchers have to win this game, because otherwise Eidsvoll will continue to EFL semifinals.

First Quarter: Edisvoll started with it's offense and started well, but after three 1. downs they have to punt the ball. Punt was really great for Eidsvoll and Butchers started it's offense turn on their 1 yard line. Eidvoll defense put the pressure on and force Butchers offense on their own endzone. Safety, 2 points to Eidvoll and Butchers kickoff.
Eidsvoll started their offense and moved the ball with high effiency. Butchers almost stop Eidvolls drive, but in situation 4. and inches on Butchers 17 yard line, Eidsvoll take the chance and won it. Eidsvoll managed to move on to Butchers 6 yard line. Quarterback Dax Michelena (USA) run 6 yard TD and score 8-0 to Eidsvoll. Extra point was played, but this time Butchers defense tackled QB to start line.
Butchers tried to gain a 1. downs, but this time turn ended 3. and out. Then happened something not so good. Butchers played a punt fake, but Butchers player couldn't cathc the ball right and Eidsvoll get a very goo position on field. Michelena proceed great 41 yard pass to wide receiver, TD and score 14-0 to Eidsvoll. Extra point kick was good too and score 15-0.

Second quarter: Butchers starts as a offense team. Butchers quarterback Justin McKenzie (USA) got a very much time for offensive line. He goes with a very long pass to Ville Palikainen (FIN). Ville was between two Eidsvoll defensive backs and their managed to got the ball before Ville. Interception Eidsvoll. Eidsvoll got 1. downs two time. Butchers linebacker Sebastian Karbin (FIN) sacked Michelena one time, but then hes 14 yard pass founded wide receiver Emeka Mbadive (NIG) on endzone and yet another TD. Extra point kick was good and score 22-0 to Eidsvoll.
Butchers offense was on ice and didn't reach much in two first quarters. Eidsvoll got the ball and continued pass happy and strong option palying with great effiency. This time also the stars was on Eidsvolls side, because two or three times Butchers defensive backs was very close quarter back Dax Michelanas passes. Eidsvoll punted the ball, but then Butchers commit a personal foul and roughing the kicker continued Eidsvolls offense turn. Eidsvoll got the ball on strike distance and crushed it with 1 yard dive through the line. This time scorer was Eric Håkansson (SWE). Kicker Kjell Lorentzen put the ball between the poles and score 29-0 to Eidsvoll.
Butchers get it's last offensive drive on first half, but this time ball fumbeled to Eidsvoll. Eidsvoll run the time out and then kickes field goal. Half time score 32-0 to Eidsvoll.

Third quarter: both teams defenses played well in start of thir quarter. Then Butchers fumbled the ball in their own offensive turn and Eidsvoll got it in very good field position. Eidsvoll gained to Butchers 2 yard line and managed to score when runningback got nearly fumbled ball in his hands and delivered it to Butchers endzone. Extra point kick was good and score 39-0 to Eidsvoll.

Fourth quarter: Butchers defensiveback Jeremiah Duvall (USA) take a interception and got Butchers to strike distance to Eidsvoll endzone (10 yard to endzone). Eidsvoll defense won this battle and Butchers gained no TD. End of the game was like playing in park. Both teams know who is going to semifinal so time was played out.

Aftermath: what happened? Eidsvoll was really ready for this match and it is very effective, well prepared and has great foreign players who give a great contribution to the team.
Butchers offense was a shadow on it's last two years effiency. When you can't move the ball, then you are screwed. Also defense made few mistakes and those lead a couple TD:s. This issue plus personal errors made this match very difficult to team Butchers.
